This educational session discusses how to develop a multimedia web-based ultrasound curriculum that provides standardized training in ultrasound techniques in education and clinical practice. Attendees will learn practical approaches to the design of curricula to improve training, competence, and patient outcomes. The faculty will also demonstrate this technology.

  • Acquire skills to develop a standardized web-based multimedia curriculum designed for either incorporation into a formal educational training program, or potentially for clinical practice.
  • Review how incorporation of ultrasound guidance into appropriate/applicable pain procedures can improve patient satisfaction, reduce unnecessary radiation exposure, and improve safety.
