Catriona M. Buist, PsyDOHSU Healthcare

Catriona Buist is trained as a health psychologist and am a licensed psychologist in Oregon and Washington. She was the Clinical Director of a CARF accredited interdisciplinary pain management program in Portland, Oregon for 12 years. She is currently an Assistant Professor in Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine & Psychiatry at Oregon Health and Science University and work as a pain psychologist in the Comprehensive Pain Center. Ms Buist is the Chair of the Oregon Pain Management Commission and co-Chair of the Improving Access to Chronic Pain Care work group for the Tri-County Prescription Opioid Safety Coalition. She is also on the Oregon Opioid Guidelines and Implementation Taskforce, the Oregon Health Authority Steering Committee to Improve Pain Care in Oregon, and on the HERC Chronic Pain Taskforce. Catriona Buist is helping to organize the upcoming Oregon Opioid, Pain and Addiction conference May 17-19 in Eugene, Oregon, and helps create the new pain intersession for medical students at OHSU and the telemedicine ECHO program at OHSU on pain management for the fall 2018. Her focus is on providing quality pain mangement to patients with a focus on improving their function and quality of life.
