Dr. Narouze is currently the chairman of the Center for Pain Medicine at Western Reserve Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He is considered an expert consultant in Pain wellness and headaches and has served as an editor and medical reviewer in several Headache and Pain Medicine journals. He is also a clinical professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at OUCOM, and a clinical professor of Neurological Surgery at OSU. Dr. Narouze is board certified in pain medicine, neurology headache medicine, interventional pain management, as well as anesthesiology. He founded the American Interventional Headache Society (AIHS) in 2015 and he is on the board of executive directors for the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (ASRA) and serves in many committees for the American Academy of Pain Medicine and other national and international headache and pain organizations. He frequently speaks and serves as a visiting professor both nationally and internationally. He published more than 200 peer reviewed articles and book chapters.
