Dr. Kevin Reid is on staff of Mayo Clinic Rochester in the Division of Orofacial Pain, Department of Dental Specialties. He earned the Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Kentucky in 1988, completed residency in Orofacial Pain at the University of MN in 1990 and then a three year Orofacial Pain Research Fellowship at NIH/NIDCR. After three years on staff at University of Kentucky Orofacial Pain Center, Dr. Reid joined the staff at Mayo Clinic Rochester where his practice is limited to diagnosis and treatment of chronic orofacial pain. He teaches "Fundamentals of Pain Physiology in Complex Persistent Pain" at the Mayo Pain Rehabilitation Program and is the former Chair of the Department of Dental Specialties, Mayo Clinic, Rochester. His research explores ethical issues relevant to pain treatments. He is Chair of Transplant Ethics, a member of Mayo Clinic Enterprise Ethics Committee, and a consultant on the Clinical Ethics Service at Mayo Rochester.
