Eellan Sivanesan, MD Johns Hopkins School of Medicine

Dr. Sivanesan is faculty and director of neuromodulation of the Johns Hopkins Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, Division of Pain Medicine. Dr. Sivanesan also utilizes advanced neuromodulation techniques to treat a range of chronic pain conditions. He is specialized in all modalities of spinal cord stimulation including the latest technologies such as high frequency stimulation, burst stimulation, and high density stimulation. He is also an expert in dorsal root ganglion (DRG) stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, craniofacial stimulation and intrathecal drug delivery. Dr. Sivanesan’s neuroscience research at Johns Hopkins aligns with his clinical practice as he investigates the effects of spinal cord stimulation. He is particularly interested in the use of neuromodulation for cancer pain and chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy.
