Dr. Sehgal is Professor and Chair of Rehabilitation Medicine in Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at University of Wisconsin School of Medicine & Public Health, UW Hospitals & Clinics, UW Health, Madison. She is Board certified in PM&R and Pain Medicine. She established the Interventional Pain Program at UW Health in 2001 and its pain medicine fellowship. She is the PD for the ACGME-accredited UW pain medicine fellowship program. For the past 16 years, she has organized a nationally recognized annual review of pain medicine for fellows and practitioners held in Madison, WI. She has participated in developing guidelines for interventional pain procedures and opioid use. Her research interests include assessment of pain, neuropathic pain, chronic spine pain, osteoarthritis and joint pain, radiofrequency ablations for pain management, and exercise-induced hypoalgesia. She has also authored several publications and book chapters.
