Katie Hadlandsmyth, PhD University of Iowa

Dr. Hadlandsmyth is a clinical psychologist specializing in pain. She is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Iowa's Carver College of Medicine in the department of anesthesia. She completed her clinical fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic's Neurological Center for pain and her research postdoctoral work at the University of Iowa. Her current research focuses on psychological aspects of persistent postsurgical pain and designing behavioral interventions tailored to specific subsets of patients with pain. Dr. Hadlandsmyth also works clinically with patients who have chronic pain.
